Overview

The objectives of this program are to equip graduates with the techniques necessary for immediate application to problem solving in the power industry. The program normally takes four semesters of full-time study and is made up of 75% coursework and 25% research project. The core courses are designed to provide generic skills applicable across all fields of engineering and includes Statistics in Engineering, Modelling and Simulation and Applied Project Management.

Each semester, students are required to undertake two to three electrical and power engineering specific courses of electives. In addition to the coursework, students are required to undertake a two-semester research project in electrical and power engineering under the guidance of an academic supervisor, give seminars and write reports on the research.
